How to Use the Research Peptide Calculator

Identify the research peptide vial size.

The vial size is the total milligrams of lyophilized research peptide in the vial. Genryse research peptides are supplied in standardized sizes (5mg, 10mg, 20mg, etc.) noted on the vial label and the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis.

Determine the reconstitution solvent volume.

Lyophilized research peptides are typically reconstituted with bacteriostatic water or sterile solvent appropriate to the peptide. Common research reconstitution volumes range from 1 mL to 3 mL, depending on the desired solution concentration.

The calculator returns the solution concentration immediately, expressed in both mg/mL and mcg/mL.

Calculated Outputs

Solution concentration is the mass of peptide per millilitre of reconstituted solution. Research draw volume is the corresponding measurement volume in millilitres. The 100-unit syringe equivalent is shown for laboratory convenience: 1 mL on a U-100 syringe equals 100 units (IU).

Reconstituting Lyophilized Research Peptides – Laboratory Practice

Lyophilized research peptides are supplied in a freeze-dried, powdered state to support stability during shipping and storage. Before laboratory research can proceed, the lyophilized research peptide must be reconstituted into a solution. The reconstitution process determines the solution concentration – and accurate reconstitution math is foundational to research repeatability.

Standard laboratory practice for reconstituting research peptides includes:

  • Equilibrating both the lyophilized research peptide vial and the reconstitution solvent to room temperature before mixing

  • Storing the reconstituted research peptide solution at 2–8°C and using within the timeframe specified on the COA
